There are several ways to gain energy for the electric car.
The energy can be gained from on board batteries. They are called the BEV (battery electric vehicle). Energy can also be gained from rechargeable batters which are onboard and a power source which includes the plug in hybrid. An engine can be used which is similar to the diesel electric locomotive. The car can be charged on board by fuel cells.
Some may be charged by wind and the solar energy. Electric trains can be charged from a connection to a generation plant. This is also done for the trolley buses. There are several advantages of an electric car. They are liked by people because of their fine control and the power they deliver is done efficiently. They have a simple mechanical setup. The power out of an electric car can be fully controlled.
Another major advantage is that they are environment friendly. They do not make any noise pollution as that of the other vehicles. The trolley buses even do not make the noise that is usually made by the wheels of a rail. The electric powers cars also lack the vibration which is powers by a good combustion engine. The large electric power transport is usually charged by using wires. Due to the difficulty in handling these powered transports are mostly run my large companies. Some of these forms of transportation are the metros, trams, trains and the trolley busses.
The Telsa electric car is the invention of Nikola Tesla. Telsa has given many inventions with the free energy sources. This mystery car was only once demonstrated when he exchanged the gasoline engine of a Piece Arrow with an 80 horsepower current electric motor which had no external power source. From a radio shop he bought some vacuum tubes and assorted resistors, which he assembled in circuit boxes which was 24 inch long with rods sticking out of it. The circuit box was placed behind the driving seat and when pushing the rod, the power came and later he did a test drive for a week. This mystery car could run at a speed of 90 mph.
